1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the website www.germistonprohandyman.co.za (the "Site") and/or utilizing the services provided by Germiston Pro Handyman ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.
2. Services Offered
We offer handyman services in Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa, including but not limited to:
Building & Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery, Electrical Services, Plumbing Services, etc.]. The specific details and scope of each service will be agreed upon between you and Germiston Pro Handyman.
3. Booking and Quotations
- Free Quotes: We may offer free, no-obligation onsite quotations for certain projects. These quotes are estimates based on our assessment at the time of inspection and are subject to change if the scope of work or unforeseen issues arise.
- 1-Hour Quick Fix: Our 1-hour quick fix service is offered at a fixed price of R350 (call out included), excluding the cost of materials. This service is intended for minor repairs and small tasks that can reasonably be completed within one hour. Any work exceeding this timeframe will be subject to additional charges, to be agreed upon with you.
- Bookings: Service bookings are subject to availability. We will confirm your booking once a mutually agreed-upon date and time are established.
- Cancellations and Rescheduling:
- By the Customer:
- We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us with at least 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled start time.
- * Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice: No cancellation fee will apply, and any deposit paid will be fully refunded.
- * Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice: A cancellation fee of R350 will be charged. Any deposit paid will be non-refundable.
- * Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice: Rescheduling is subject to our availability, and we will make reasonable efforts to find a suitable alternative time.
- * No-Shows: If our handyman arrives at the scheduled time and is unable to access the property or the customer is not present without prior notification, a fee equal to 100% of the estimated service cost will be charged.
- By Germiston Pro Handyman:
- Germiston Pro Handyman is committed to providing reliable service. However, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require us to cancel or reschedule an appointment. In such cases, we will make every effort to provide you with as much notice as possible and will:
- * Offer to reschedule your service at the earliest mutually convenient time.
- * Provide a full refund of any deposit paid if you choose not to reschedule.

- Please note that in the event of documented genuine emergencies, we will review the circumstances and may waive or adjust cancellation fees at our discretion.
4. Pricing and Payment
- Service Rates: The rates for our services may vary depending on the type of work, complexity, and duration. We will provide you with a quotation or clearly communicate our hourly rates or fixed prices before commencing work.
- Materials: Unless otherwise agreed, the cost of materials required for the service will be additional to our service fees. We will aim to provide you with an estimate for materials where possible, but actual costs may vary.
- Payment Terms: A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due and payable in full on the day of service completion. For our 1-hour quick fix service, prepayment in full is required for confirmation of your booking.
- **Accepted Payment Methods:** Payment can be made via the methods available through our booking application, in cash, or by electronic funds transfer (EFT). Details for EFT will be provided upon request. **VAT (Value Added Tax):** Please note that Germiston Pro Handyman is not currently VAT registered, therefore **no VAT will be charged** on our services. All prices quoted are final unless otherwise specified.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information regarding your service requests and property.
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the areas where the work will be performed.
- Secure any valuables or fragile items in the work area.
- Be present or have an authorized representative present during the service if required or requested.
- Make timely payments according to the agreed-upon terms.
6. Our Responsibilities
We agree to:
- Provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
- Use qualified and experienced personnel.
- Adhere to agreed-upon schedules and timelines where reasonably possible.
- Communicate any significant changes or issues that may arise during the service.
- Respect your property and take reasonable precautions to avoid damage.
7. Warranty and Liability
- Warranty: Germiston Pro Handyman provides a warranty on our workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects directly resulting from the work performed by our handyman. Should any such defects arise within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion, either repair the faulty workmanship at no additional cost to you or offer another suitable resolution, which may include a partial refund or a credit towards future services, depending on the nature of the issue.
- **Please note the following exclusions from this warranty:** * Materials Supplied by the Customer: This warranty does not cover defects in materials that were supplied by you, the customer. * Pre-existing Conditions: We are not responsible for repairing or warranting any pre-existing conditions that were present before our services were rendered. * Normal Wear and Tear: This warranty does not cover issues arising from normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or accidental damage after the completion of our work. * Work Not Performed by Germiston Pro Handyman: Any modifications, repairs, or alterations made by others after our service may void this warranty. To make a warranty claim, please contact us as soon as possible, and ideally within 7 days of noticing the defect, with a clear description of the issue and proof of the original service date. The customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the property to allow Germiston Pro Handyman to assess and perform any necessary warranty repairs. We will assess the claim and take appropriate action in accordance with this warranty. This warranty is in addition to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in South Africa.
- **Limitation of Liability:** Please note that a comprehensive limitation of liability clause, outlining the extent of Germiston Pro Handyman's responsibility, is currently being drafted by legal professionals in accordance with South African law. This section will be updated shortly.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, the liability of Germiston Pro Handyman arising from the provision of our services is limited as outlined in these terms and conditions.
8. Intellectual Property
The content, design, and logos of our Site are owned by Germiston Pro Handyman and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without our prior written consent.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
